Haha, mcm laju je kan ?? Raser mcm baru 2weeks kot ?? Since last Saturday lagi actually the lady from Rico's boutique dah call ... Tapi tade mase (& kekurangan funding) nak pegi ambek ... InsyaAllah by Saturday I can go pick up ... :D

Nanti saye updet part IV, no worries ... I'll update dlm category wordless Wednesday ... Just pictures, promised ... So you guys won't have to deal with me talking nonsense ... Hahah ...

Oh Baju Raya: Part II

Sila baca entry terdahulu utk mengelakkan perasaan syok sendiri dlm diri anda, hehe ... Mengade nak link, padahal tade post lain pun in between ... ;p Anyway, setelah berbulan lamanya hati ini berbelah bagi nak hantar baju raye kat mane utk tailor made baju kurung ... Akhirnya (setelah ade duit gaji nak letak deposit, ;p) saya membuat keputusan utk menghantar kain tu kat butik paling dekat dgn rumah ... Hehe ...

Yes, baju raya lepas raya tu saya hantar kat Rico Rinaldi ... Tade beading, tade patching ... & he quoted for a surprisingly reasonable price, cukup utk menarik minat saya utk hantar 8pasang baju lagi kat die :D ... Nak tahu, sila email saya ... Lupe plak nak ambek gambar the material before hand it over kat his boutique hari tu ... Tunggu output je la kan ?? Hihi ...

As I walked in, akak2 tgh jahit manik kat boutique tu cam risau giler tengok saya bawak kain nak tempah baju dengan muka penuh harapan nak raye ... Since seminggu lagi nak raye kot, haha ... Then when I said, "Tape2, lepas raya baru ambek pun takpe" ... Baru la masing2 rilek sikit, haha ...

Ikut perjanjian, baju saye akan siap by end of September ... Yay, heh ... Kire baju raya haji la tu ... Tibe2 raser cam gatal nak hantar kain chiffon yg beli kat Jakel time konon2 nak b'tunang dulu, ;p ... Wahhh, memang duit tumbuh kat pokok depan rumah la kan ?? Sumer nak hantar kat designer ...

Tape, yg tu tgk keperluan dulu ... Maybe bole consider for raya next year, bole I'll took early action for raya next year ... May dah pegi tempah baju siap2, hahah ... Semangat ... At the moment ade satu lagi project ... Which is nak insert beads kat baju di bawah ini ... Sila abaikan muka tak siap itu, heh ...

Sebab rase cam pale sgt, need something2 that can popup ... Giler mengade ... Hahah ... Maybe nak hantar kat butik ibu Encik Faliq, since penah hantar one piece back in 2010 ... Tapi mase tu, kirim kat despatch je ... Now kene pegi carik sendiri ... Hehe ...

Oh Baju Raya

I have this one beautiful piece, some kind of kasa rubiah nak hantar pegi tailor for hari raya ... At the moment tak tau nak hantar kat mane, it's a choice between satisfactory & price ... Because daddie bought kain tu from India, it's a really nice piece kalau turned out well at the end of the day ...

I had the experience dgn dzul de classique, walaupun sejengkal jek dr rumah ... The answer is still NO ... Lagi la this piece memang fully embroidered - dekat collar, the bottom piece & for the hand ... So is a big NO, sebab the last time my silk dgn design kaki was disaster ... There's 2pieces, both memang hancus ... & it's clear that I'm still traumatised, haha ...

Then there's lovely auntie kat Tum's Tailor, Seksyen 9 Bandar Baru Bangi ... Which is, nice ... But do expect tailor's workmanship, sebab name pun tailor kan ... Once when I took my lace & satin to her for my bride's maid dress, makcik tu yg suh aku gi hantar kat designer ... Hahah ... Seriously, that's how I end up sending that dress to a designer ...

Then of course, the designer - Rico Rinaldi ... It is really nice to deal with him, but my budget is tight for these few months ... Heh ... Let the picture speak, you guys judge ... Sorry my photography skill memang sampah ... Haha ...

Another option was my tailor in Tangkak, Johor ... Tapi mcm jauh sgt, to send & pick up dah bape ringgit ... Pastu I don't really like the finishing she did for my previous baju kurung ... Further more, cehhh ... Mcm buat surat rasmi in English time skolah plak ... Hahah ... Anyway, I got this expectation to make this dress well fitted ... So my body nampak cam ala2 hour glass gituew ... Hahah, giler gedix ...

Tibe2 rase nak send to the one paling dekat dengan rumah, since kalau hantar area kajang pun dah almost 4hundred sebab ade lining ... Wahhh, money please grow on the tree kat depan rumah !!!

Bride's Maid Outfit - Material

Sehari selepas hunting baju kurung for my 2nd bride's maid outfit (5th Nov), perjuangan diteruskan di kawasan sekitar Bangi ... When I left home, ade these places in mind to go to accomplish the mission - My Jan, Seksyen 8 Bandar Baru Bangi (memang kedai haku sopping baju raye dah 2thn) ---> Wangsa Walk ---> Gulatis Metro Point, Kajang ---> Alamanda, Putrajaya ...

Tapi on the way, ter-de'tour pegi Warta ... Then baru pegi My Jan ... But as I window2 kat My Jan, ade 1pasang yg comel & suweet kaler light purple ... But it feels like, baju raye haku tapi kaler pepel ... Hadoi, so decided - tak mau !!!

Pastu ckp kat adik cherry, I don't think kat Wangsa Walk akan jumpe ape yg dicari ... Since kakak cherry taste tinggi (lempang) ... Seriously, sebab dah extremely searching for 2days in a row ... Dah dapat perasaan yg agak impossible nak carik something I wish for, the piece yg I adore kat Semua House semalam pun I rase custom made ... But it's green in colour ...

It's a simple kurung moden, chiffon ... Collar cheogsam if I'm not wrong, with a little bit embroidery ... & butang bungkus kat lengan, both hujung baju dgn hujung kain just simple straight seam ... Tade details pape ...

Yang sebenarnye, dah termimpi2 kan border lace yg manager Jakel yg hensem tu tunjuk smalam kan ... Hahah, tu yg xbole nak terima ape jua pilihan lain ... Ade je alasan, purple tak cukup light la ... Macam baju raye haku la ... Heheh ...

So dalam kebuntuan to maintain the budget, tibe2 teringat a piece of lace I bought in Tangkak ntah tahun biler ... Rm100 for 2m of lace & 2m of satin crepe if I'm not wrong ... Just the lace kaler pink, so I just need to find another light purple base ... & use the lace for patching ... Bijak2 ... Heh, pujian diri sendiri ...

After I gave up hunting for ready made baju kurung kat My Jan, trus pegi Gulatis in Metro Point, Kajang ... Mission - carik chiffon & satin impian ... Tak pandang kiri kanan dah, tengok harge mcm murah ... Rm29.50 /m for the satin crepe, rm24.50 for the chiffon ... Both lerang 60", so ambek 3.5m each ... Total rm189 ...

Mase turun escalator, terpikir jap ... Smalam abang manager sasa offer rm270 for normal satin ... Rm350 for satin silk ... Itu termasuk border lace, sebut harge rm125 for 0.5m ... So paling mahal pun, rm150 minus border lace for the chiffon + satin kan ??

I guess that's the power of sales strategy, sebab die display price rm85/m ... Offer for rm29.50, & rm35/m offered rm24.50 ... Kau rase dah murah, padahal bole tawar for cheaper kat Jakel ... Heh, pastu baru terkenang how beautiful the non-washable chiffon kat Jakel nyer flow ... Hahah, padan muke !!!

Lesson learnt - jgn terpedaye sgt dgn sales ... Normally harge die same jek, kurang lebih 2-3ringgit jek ...

Tape la, janji dapat my dreamt chiffon ... Border  lace tu, put on hold jek la ... Lengkali baru beli for next event, kalau ade rezeki lebih ...

So it's official - lining satin crepe in hot pink ... Base plain chiffon in light purple, both from Gulatis ... & lace patching from Tangkak ...

Now there's 2 options for the tailor, either Tum Tailor (Seksyen 9, Bandar Baru Bamgi) ... Or my auntie kat Tangkak ... Depends on my availability to send the material to Tangkak & quotation from makcik kat Tum Tailor ...

Tum Tailor - Last time I sent my kebaya, upah rm80 + rm120 for patching if I'm not mistaken ... Rm180 for baju kurung chiffon (with diamond studs), full lining ... Rm120 for 2piece kurung moden, lace on top & plain satin for bottom ...

I wish I still can get the price of rm120 for the patching, & rm180 for the tailoring cost itself ... So, total cost of rm300 ... Hopefully ... Haih, kan bagus kalau ade phone number makcik tu ... Bole sms jek tanye ... Tu la, hari tu die sms tak nak save her number ... Kan senang kalau ade personal contact ...

Ade hati jugak actually nak sms Rico mintak quotation, ;p ... Tapi tape la ... Tak cukup budget untuk itu kali ni, heheh ... But seriously, why not ?? Since the cheapest you can get for tailoring is around rm180 + rm180 for the patching ... Almost rm400, kan ?? Tu tak termasuk material tau darlings ...

If you go for designers, simple design cost around 1k ... Dorang buat beadings sumer siap, at least you puas hati kan ?? Dr aku hantar kat tailor femes kat Kajang tu, dah la mahal ... Hancus my sutera Terengganu, dorang potong ikut suke hati mak bapak die ...

Enough said, will be updating on the tailor I choose soon ... Then the final outcome later on, but everything will be published after the wedding's done ... :D ... Sabar yeaaa ...

Bride's Maid Outfit - Hunting

Pertame skali nak mintak maaf sebab t'paksa publish post ni, 1bulan selepas hari kejadian ... Xde la nak budget artist sgt, cume lebih baik mcm ni ... Dr aku pung pang pung pang about bende yg kecik jek, nanti jadik issue lagi di kalangan mereka yg sengaja mencari issue utk diperbesarkan ...

Pada 2 November yg lepas, saye menerima satu lagi tawaran utk jadik bride's maid - kepada my lovely cousin Pn. Diah ... Only for reception, since her sister will take that job during nikah ... But it's on the same day, nikah pagi ... Reception in the afternoon ... So my dear friends, aku akan take another job je lagi for bride's maid ... Sebab xbole jadik pengapit lebih dr 3x, hahah ... Superstitious ...

So, dengan notis sebulan sblm the wedding ... Agak selesa di situ untuk mencari outfit yg sesuai ... Adik Cherry attended her 1st ever interview on 4th November, so kakak Cherry pun mengambil kesempatan itu mengangkut adik Cherry pegi Mesjid India utk servey2/beli trus kalau b'kenan ...

Until, I found out that sangat susah sebenar nyer utk carik a nice baju kurung according to the Bride's order - light purple ... Dah pusing 1 Semua House tu mencarik, tapi yg ade mostly dark purple ... Or else, it's made of lace ... Which aku malas nak beli another lacey dress, sebab nanti susah nak recycle ... Pakai skali jek for the wedding, or for some special events which tak tau ntah biler akan berlaku ...

So I decided to have it tailor made ... Yes, memang tak cukup mase ... Dengan I'm flying to kk on the 6th until 14th November for another cousin's wedding ... Baru rase tak cukup napas nak carik kain & hantar jahit kat Tangkak ...

Kenape nak hantar kat Tangkak jugak ?? Sebab I nak save cost, so the outfit will still fall under the bride's budget ... ++ the wedding is in Kulai, Johor ... So I can pick-up the dress on the way there ... Xpayah nak pegi 2-3 kali, just pegi once to send the materials & measure ... At this moment ?? I'm praying for everything to be easy on me ...

I decided to use chiffon for the baju kurung, so dengan slamber panjat Jakel tanye plain chiffon ... Skali manager yg sasa + hensem & super peramah tu tunjuk border lace kan ... Owh, sangat la jatuh cinta ... Memang la aku tak tido mlm ni ...

Bile kire price for all the material, it's still reasonable ... Ye lah, kalau beli yg baju kurung yg biase2 pun dah almost rm200 kat Mesjid India tu ... Before saye terbeli, t'ingat pulak pasal upah jahit chiffon which normally x2 dr upah for normal (cotton, satin etc) materials ...

Kalau kat Tum's Tailor, Seksyen 9 Bandar Baru Bangi - it's rm180 ... Kalau kat Tangkak, last time I tempah baju kurung modern siap lining - rm100 ... I'm praying hard, that auntie won't ask extra for non-washable chiffon ...

Another concern was the lace patching, last time I asked kat DzulldeClassique (read this post for more details) ... For a simple beading on hujung lengan & leher will cost around rm180 ... For the beading/embroidery only ... & tadi kat one of the textile store depan Sogo tu, the quoted me rmm180 for lace patching on lengan & bawah baju kot ... Own lace ...

Kalau material rm200 (with lining), upah jahit almost rm400 for lace patching ... Baik aku buat kat designer kan, puas hati ... That's why, mcm mane pun ... Kene usaha kan jugak hantar kat my tailor kat Tangkak tu ... Supaye everything fall in the budget ... Or else, tak payah gedik nak chiffon sgt kannn ...

But I'm going to put my best effort, just like what I did for Anis's wedding ... Later I'll update on the final material for the bride's maid outfit ... But I think my decision on the tailor is already fixed ...

1st of all, sorry sgt sebab lambat giler review ... Dah 2months, heh ... I have to do justice to the dress, tak kan la nak upload gambar from my 3.2megapixel bb kan ... Give credit to the dress, & the designer jugak ... & thanks to the bride, susah2 hantar the pictures through email sampai 4folder ...

I don't have to review more about Rico, you girls already know his talent ... Overall, sgt la puas hati ... When I first stepped into his studio, neves la ... Sape tak neves kan, jumpe designer ... He's not there mase tu ... Sebab there's a lot of time before the wedding, we managed to arrange a few meetings ...

Biler he asked about my budget, I mcm froze kejap ... Aku memang fail sikit bab spot question ni, balik mandi/nak tido baru t'pikir what I should answer ... 

My original plan, memang nak hantar kat Kimie Kajang jek ... Tapi entah mcm mane sumer kedai kat Kajang mase tu tutup, kedai yg satu tu bukak ... But you know I'm not going to send anything else to them ... & I've already asked makcik kat Tum Tailor, die yg suruh hantar kat designer sebab I request design mengade sgt ... ;p

So according to that plan, my budget is around rm400-600 jek la ... But I'm sending it to a designer kot, so tak kan la nak that price jugak kan ... Dalam hati b'harap, please jgn mintak mahal2 ... Heh ...

Tapi I already set a limit to myself jugak la, kalau Rico quote over 2k ... Memang aku buat muke tak malu pegi collect kain balik ... Hehe ... B'pijak di bumi yg nyate la kan, kalau sampai 2k memang aku tak mampu nak bayar ... 

The price Rico quote for me, kire lebih sikit from my budget la ... But with that beadings, dengan aku pegi fitting sampai 3kali kot ... There nothing more I could ask for ... I'll definitely recommend him to adik bradik, sahabat handai & sedare mare ... I think if korang bace review org lain pun, memang sumer akan ckp - highly recommended ...

I wanna say this from the moment I met him on the 1st meeting, tapi malu ... Heheh - he looks so much better in person ... Different la, from those pictures from google & newspaper ... Kat mate aku la ...

Overspending

I just bought, flight ticket for abg Wan ... From KL-KK, for about rm300 ... & flight ticket for adik cherry on the 13th, same date as mine ... All charged to my over limit credit card ... Sangat pelik why the bank didn't block my usage ... Padahal belum bayar ...

Mak dah pesan, be careful using your credit card ... But I just spent, spent & spent ... Of course la bank xlimit usage kan, bole charge more interest ...

Seriously, lepas raye ni ... I was thinking of giving the card to my mum ... One of it la, the one I use for shopping purpose ... Konon2 bnyk benefit la kan, sign up credit card yg bagi a lot of benefit for that particular hyper market ...

But now, I think my fuel credit card pun I have to ask my mum to keep ... Isi minyak pakai cash jek, xde duit duduk Kerteh diam2 ... Haaaahhhhhhhhh ... Can I have at least 1 ?? But kalau ade yg 1 tu dlm tangan, comfirm gune full swing ... Since dah patah kaki with kehilangan the rest ...

Agak giler sebenar nya, the whole day travelling pegi meeting bahan + cuci mate tgk songket kat Pasar Payang tadi ... Happy with the output from meeting tadi, tibe2 smangat nak buat report bahan ... Heheh ... & I figured out kenape saye malas sgt nak settle kan my report back few months, sebab the last meeting sumer kene reject !!! Hahah, biler sumer lulus ... Excited lebey, meter rajin trus ijau ... Hahhahahahhahah ...

About the songket, very ... Sangat la gorgeous ... Sampai b'peluh ketiak, sebab excited ... For price range of rm500, you can get a beautiful design ... Tapi kene betul2 carik, might not have kaler yg you prefer ... Or dgn kate lain, might came in color yg susah nak match dgn other colors ...

Kalau you have budget around rm750-1200 ... You'll definitely make a statement with the songket ... Imagine plain black, with pastel colors benang tenun ?? Memang haku nak snap tadi, tapi takut abang tu marah kan ... Heheh ...

Yg rm1200 tu, made of silk ... I'm not sure benang yg silk, or the material tu yg silk ... Nanti bile betul2 nak beli, I'll ask betul2 ... Heheh ... Nak kirim ?? Heheh, I have a good taste ... Trust me, hahahhahahhahah ... Giler puji diri sendiri ...

Perasaan ketika melihat songket2 nan indah itu: I wish I've saved some money, bole beli kan my best friend for her nikah ... Seriously, it is that good that it can make your day perfect ... Ok, terlebih suda ...

Dah2 la tu about the break up, orang pun dah malas nak bace ... Ko emo sorang2 ... Hahah ... I'm about to write about Side Effect II, which is shopping ... Previously I posted an entry about shopping ONLINE ... Tapi kalau ikut ckp my office mate pun, bukan sebab nak raye ke ... All the time, memang aku keje shopping jek ... :D

So far, mood memasak dah totally gone ... That's why Mek G dgn Yanie punya cupcakes yg janji nak buat kan sblm raye tu, xbuat pun last Sunday ... Nanti la, balik 1st week lepas raye tu confirm buat ... But ptg ni still have project custard jagung, sebab memang mengecewakan kueh2 kat bazar tu ...

Yang tinggal just mood shopping, which is xpayah gatal2 nak relate dgn the break up ... Sebab kau memang giler shopping mokcik ...

2pasang trus ehhh ??

Padahal kat Mesra Mall jek tu, kalau kat KL confirm lagi dasyat ... Ok, baru teringat ... Hari tu kat Alamanda pun ade beli sandal, dlm plastic lagi ... Xbawak balik Kerteh pun ... All together, since gaji bulan ini ... 3pasang kasut, baju kurung 2pasang ... Kemeja for work 1, & a hand bag 2 hand bags ... Siap lupe the one I bought earlier kat Alamanda dgn adik cherry ...

Ok, merepek ... Nak ingat balik everything I bought, hahah ...

Tibe2 t'ingat about daddie's last visit ... I took him, actually his mother ... Nenek aku, yes ... Hahahhahahahhah ... To Metro Point, Kajang ... Jln2 window shopping + makan sushi ... Imagine my grandma makan sushi ??

My grandma yg masak nasik lauk ikan goreng hari2 tu, was in Sushi King ... Enjoying raw fish & green tea ?? She can't even ride an escalator, how could I miss that ?? I totally forgot sebenar nyer, ape yg saye cube sampai kan dlm post ni ... Sebab dah a few days ni, internet connection kat rumah not working ... Hehe ...

But I remember explaining border lace to daddie kat Gulatis, hehehehheheheheheh ... Sebab 1st time I told daddie about border lace, die mcm blur2 ... Last2 die bawak balik 1gulung lace ntah pape, nak letak kat edge sarung bantal pun ko akan pk 2x sebab memang xmenarik langsung ...

Agak pelik la kan, sebab dorang ckp top designer siap pegi India shopping for material ... Is it ?? Confuse jap, is it Dubai or Delhi ?? Of course aku hangkat yg rm200 ++ semeter sebagai contoh ... Yg beading xhingat sampai xlarat nak hangkat la kalau gatal2 buat dress siap nak train kan ...

Daddie said, "I tot u're not going to wear it" ... Bole ehhh ?? Aku tgk adik cherry, adik cherry tgk aku balik (dgn muke penuh harapan, hahahahhahhahah) ... So Delhi embroidered lace + chiffon, see you in December !!!

Hmm, I missed daddie ... He's not replying my text these few days ... Mamak la bha ni, nda pandai jawap phone ... Habis semua pun kena marah ...

Daddie, I need money ... Nak pegi Bali, stress bf lari ... Hahhahahahahhahhah, break up lagi !!! Alasan je tu ... Break up or not, u still going to ask for it !!! Hehehhehehheheheh ...

But I already know the answer, daddie will most probably say ... "Eh, kau yg break up ... Kenapa bapak pulak kene bayar" ?? Hmm, on 2nd tots ... Maybe I should aim higer, 'daddie I wanna go Venice' ...

Best Man's Outfit

Yang base tu, for the best man ... Yg b'kilat2 tu my dress ...

I just got back from Terengganu, then I figured ... Kene settle kan baju utk pengapit lelaki, sebab wedding in exactly 5weeks !!! Ecehhh, mcm aku pulak yg kawen !!! Hahahahahhaah ... I'm the bride's maid, that's my job ... Tolong ape yg patut ...

Baju pengapit lelaki xsettle lagi, sebab 1st candidate bailed out ... & rase nak lempang, sebab care decline the job tu mcm bikin panas ... Find reason supaye xbole attend kot ?? Kalau xnak, ckp jek la xbole since we open the suggestion kan ...

So, lucky for us ... The new best man ade in house tailor at work, so I just have to find the materials ... & passed it to him ... Tapi danak raye ni, takut xsempat ... Dgn org sebok nak balik kampung in few weeks time kan ... Hopefully, thing will work out just fine ...

So sementare tunggu respond from the bride & best man, t'ingat nak pegi MayaSilk kat sblh CIMB tu ... So I went there, walaupun sebok layan ade 1family tu test baju raye ... They still have time to entertain me, heheh ... Suke !!!

SA tu kluar kan segale jenis kain possible for baju melayu, dr satin yg b'kilat barat ... Sampai segale jenis cotton ... Then she adviced to take the crepe ... Sebab xpanas, & cantik ... I love it the most, sebab xsexy ... Hahah, risau sebab it's pastel ... Takut bole see thru, ;p ... Dengan sinaran cahaye yg xcukup, I agreed ... Skali sampai rumah, kaler lari sikit ... Heheh ...

Xpe la kan, pengapit jek kot ... Lebih pulak kau, xpayah la nak matching sgt kan ...

Bride's Maid's DressES

I'm F'ing lucky to have the best bride you can ever find in the whole world ... Imagine die suruh I change dresses during reception ?? Hahah, kalah haku yg nak potong kek ... Hahahahahhahah ... Kalau awak nak bagi, saye suke jerrr !!! Heheh, xmalu ...

So, saye memang bnyk dress (kurung moden or kebaya) yg meletop2 sebenar nye ... I love lace, heheh ... Xtau la ape hal, tapi baju raye haku memang dr dulu cam artis ... Kalau makcik2 tgk, dorang ckp mcm org nak kawen ...

Tapi dah semakin dewasa ni, dah slow down sikit la ... Malu dah nak meriah2 sgt, heheh ... I have 3pairs kot, baju kurung moden lace tailored ... 1 tu kaler baby blue, dah xmuat ... Another one is a golden dress I wore for my graduation, & another white lace with silver & pink details xpenah pakai ... Hahahahahahhah ...

1st I tot my bride was mad at me, sebab lawan tokey kan ... Bole plak bride's maid nak pakai baju designer ?? Siap dah buat back up plan, going to use the dress for my engagement kalau didn't get approval from the bride ... Hahah, but she's actually cool with it ... Die ckp, "Janji jangan pakai baju kurung nak pegi class" !!! Hehhehehehehhehh ...

But u got nothing to worry yahhh darling, sebab I dah discuss dgn Rico to make it as minimal as possible ... & mamak pun cakap ur dresses are beautiful !!! So I got nothing to worried about overshadowing the bride ... Heheh ... I'll go for 1st fitting next weekend, will send u the picture ... Ok ??

On top of that, she asked me to go to her bridal house ... Pick up another dress lagi ?? What ?? Dah bnyk giler my dresses ni, tapi die nak bagi kan ... Saye terime dgn hati terbuke ... Heheh, hugs sket ...

Salon in Kota Kinabalu

I always do my hair in kk, sebab murah ... Hahah, senang citer ... Murah in a way of, you can have a 5hundred ringgit treatment for half price there ... I mean, kalau korang bayar rm300 kat kl ni for a digital perm ... Comfirm dorang buat cikai2 jek, letak ubat pun mcm xnak letak jek ... Pastu tips kedekut nak mampus ...

Awal2 buat digital perm kat UiTM dulu, it cost me rm250 ... For a jr. hair stylish service, & he didn't told me 'don't wash ur hair in 3days' ... So, hancur ... 2ratus stengah mcm tu jek ... Then the last time I remembered, I do digital perm kat Mico Seksyen 8, Bandar Baru Bangi ... After 3months, hancur dah ...

That was new year 2010, then I went to kk that May ... & buat digital perm in Patrick's, Centre Point ... Mase tu baru rm250, siap trim if I'm not wrong ... & it was superb, puas hati la ... Just that during October 2010 I think, I went to Melaka & colored my hair ... The salon assistant tu bodoh & spoil the curl ...

Imagine la, the curl bole stay for 4months kan ?? Normally, it only will stay in shape about 6weeks average ... After 2months, dah out of shape ... So that's how good the service in Patrick's la ... Then later in December 2010, I went to Patrick's kat Wisma Merdeka pulak ... To color my hair, into a darker color ... Sebab color from Melaka tu suck giler ...

It was excellent, the treatment there ... Hospitality, service ... Tip top la ... She only charge me rm200 if I'm not wrong ... For coloring + a trim with no extra charge ... Cume 1 jek weakness Patrick's ni (for both Centre Point & Wisma Merdeka) - dorang tutup awal ... 6o'clock ...

So the other day, I was so excited going out wif my mum ... Dah pukul 5 baru t'ingat nak pegi buat rambut ... I asked kat Patrick's Centre Point, it's rm450 ... Expensive kot ?? Xmasuk trim & syampoo ... I can't afford that, mahal giler ...

Then I took the trouble walking from Centre Point to Wisma Merdeka ... Sampai2, dorang dekat Patrick's tgh sapu sampah ... :( ... So, they charge rm350 there ... All included, so girls ... Pegi Wisma jek la, dr bayar extra 1hundred kat Centre tu ... Heheh ...

Tapi hari tu saye gatal2 pegi tanye kat salon sblh - Albert Unisex Salon ... Rm300, bole buat right away ... So I agreed ... I hate that the stylish nak buat big curl, but he style it very well ... Made me love it !!! But now, after 3weeks ... The curl dah xbrape cantik actually ... You have to style it hari2, to keep the curl in shape ... Agak2 la, hari2 nak blow ...

I made an appointment the next morning kat Patrick's actually, but I'm glad I decided to do my hair right away that afternoon ... Because if I didn't, I have no other time to do it ... Since I'm bz with the wedding ...

Can't wait for my September visit, will make sure I'll do my hair in Patrick's next time ... Can't say it's cheap since the price increased every visit ... But you'll be satisfied with the end result ...

ps: biase buat rambat dgn my sister, we're siblings ... tapi very different person ... she straighten her hair, I choose to curl mine ... heheh, bila mau b'salon2 lagi ni bebe ??

I wish to state the tailor's name as a title, tapi mcm dramatic pulak kan ?? But I will reveal the tailor jugak la, sebab it's down below the expectation ... Kite layan gambar dulu ...

Both on the left hand side are from the well known tailor, and the right hand side are from my tailor since I was 14 ...

My opinion ??

Tailor 1:

Cutting

- Well executed, but I feel old ... It's the materials maybe ...

- Proportion ?? Fail giler !!! I hate it, later I'll upload kain yg bersepah tu ...

Stitching

- Well executed ...

- I hate how the put together the kain

Price

- Pricey !!!

Tailor 2:

Cutting

- Well executed + make me look sweet ...

- Sangat best, ever heard of 'hugging dress' ?? That's just how it feels ...

Stitching

- Same jek, since both pun pakai machine ...

- My kain mermaid ?? You'll die for it !!!

I just felt it's not worth for the price I paid, that's all ... A well known tailor, so I understand la you rate will be pricey ... But with that kind of output ?? I think you took things lightly in you deliverance quality ...

Can you tell me any reasonable excuse for the sleeves ?? The stripes design on my baju vertical, & suddenly the sleeves melintang ?? Seriyesly ?? And the sleeves design on the seams ?? Seriyesly ?? Memang MENYESAL that I send my expensive materials kat you guys ...

Last but not least, the mermaid bottom ... Kalau dah tau, you can't do it ... Just suggest another type of kain la, susun lipat ke ... Kain kipas blakang ke, I will understand ... Since bende tu pun bukan chiffon kan ... Xpayah la nak mermaid sgt ... But then my kain consist of 5panels ?? Kalau xde kaki, I xkesah la ... Haih, speechless ...

Konklusi ?? Both my silk dress were total disaster ... Sorry, Tailor 1 ... It will took something big for me step into you shop again ... Yes, I know ... You did asked if it's ok during the fitting ... Tapi kau dah potong & jahit mcm tu kot ?? Ape yg nak ok ke x nye lagi ?? Paling2 pun kecik kan pinggang jek ...

It's been a week, tapi tibe2 bole get mad balik ...

My advice ?? For those who have restricted budget, I mean ... You only bought silk once in a blue moon, & took 3months salary to pay for expensive tailor nearby kl ... Xpayah la hantar kat DzulldeClassique ... Makcik kat Tum Tailor ti jahit lagi cantik, murah plak tu ...

Baju Kurung Moden

Just got back from a friend's wedding, still tired ... Somehow excited by the rate for a tailor made baju kurung moden in Tangkak, Johore ... How exciting ?? Rm50 a pair ?? Unbelievable right ?? But those piece needed lining (eg. chiffon), will cost you rm100 ... Full lining yahhh, yes ... Including the sleeves ...

Just that you have to bring in your own lining, as she didn't provide any ... But it's Tangkak, I get 4m lining for rm24 within 10mins ... Huhu, it's really convenient ... Really !!! Hahahahahhah ...

Met this one ambitious girl when I walk in, by ambitious I mean ... She was sketching the dress she wanted, & asking the auntie's advice on suitable materials ... Hahah, I used to be that girl back couple years ... Yahhh, nak buat camane ... Can't effort designer dress, even until now I still can't have one ... T_T

The auntie is doing lace patching mase tu, hahah ... Impress la, she can do lace patching ... Now I have something else to expect on her, beside good fitting & neat finish ... Tapi she going to retire soon, someone will take over of course ... But I bet it won't be the same, she'd been doing my dress since I was 14 ?? Hahah, mane nak carik another tailor that can connect & keep me coming back for more than 10years lepas ni ...

Gonna make this post short, sebab xsempat nak snap gambar tadi (giler excited kan) ... For those who lives around Muar, Jasin & Melaka ... I will highly recommended Chia Lee Sekolah Jahitan for a very2 cheap price, & good delivery + great hospitality ... She even try to finish my baju kurung (2 pasang) by next week, somehow die suruh call dulu to make sure it's done ... [Suke !!!]

Kedai die biase jek, xde fitting room ... Divided equally with a hair saloon ... Susah nak bagitau kat mane exactly sebab xde gambar ... It's on the side of the bus station, next block to Pizza Hut ... I'll post a picture later la when I got there to collect my dress ... Together with the result of course ...

Sebelum b'akhir, sempat beli lace lagi sepasang !!! Hahah, lempang skali !!! Bape bnyk lace ntah, bukan pakai pun ... Simpan dlm almari buat hiasan ... Tunggu ade job jadik mc/pengapit baru nak pakai ... Next wedding I need gold dress, tapi beli pink lace ?? Heheh, gedix ...

Swipe card & feel like a shopaholic jap, pastu trus kene balik, jgn pandang ke arah kedai tempah baju lagi ... Sebab xpenting pun nak buat sepasang baju lace dlm mase terdekat ...

Diamond Hunting: Part 1 & 1a

It's been a while since the last time I try a diamond ring ... A few days jek sebenar nye, heheh ... You know now how excited I am ... But these are some idea of what I found past few weeks ...

This is what I found in a jeweleries shop in Kuantan (well, this is the closest ... with white gold of course), it's in East Coast Mall ... Right in front of the Carefour counters ... Haih, it's been a while now ... That I forgot the characteristics ... I think it's around 0.5carat, good range of color (can't remember exactly) ... Clarity - vvsi ... Cool huh ?? At a price of rm 1x, xxx ...

I like the fact that it's rare for you to find this shape, & I think the price is reasonable ... Me ?? I'm not really interested in trying something rare, heheh ... I'm conservative, I'm more attracted to those more classic ... Heheh, poyo !!!

Then later last week, we went to Tomei in Mahkota Parade ... Melaka, the SA offer us this 'triple excellent' diamond with 'ntah hape ntah die sebut' casing ... I never heard of the triple X before, but I guess it's just the 4c's thing ... They gave 1x to a single c that diamond represented ...

For instant, the one the marked 1x - came in G color ... Somehow it's around 0.5carat, with clarity of vsi ... It's the characteristic of the diamonds, simplified in term of excellent ... For the ease of understanding, for those who don't speak diamond language ... Heheh ...

There's a few good one as well down there, she event mentioned about the special cert ... Hahah, actually don't really get her ... Have to sit down & focus to learn more on what she's trying to explain ...

Masih dlm mood t'kejut dlm jem2 kat Sungai Besi ni, yes lagi !!! Sungai Besi jem heading kl di kala senja ni, so sempat blogging dlm kesesakan lalu lintas ... Poyo abes !!!

So, setelah lepak2 dgn my mum after a while xbalik2 my parents house ... Dgn penuh semangat pegi kajang nak tempah baju, since bnyk giler wedding to attend in 2011 ni ...

Last 2weeks, dgn gagah nye meredah misi Project KT sorang2 utk memburu sutra pilihan ... Mase planning ramai la ckp nak ikut kan, time pegi sumer bailed out ... Pegi pancing udang, hahah ...

Anyway, dgn harge market sutera yg naik selaras dgn harge minyak ... Really ?? Actually beza rm40 je, tapi now the trend is - letak batu2 ... Xsampai 50bijik pun, tapi harge dah up rm80 dr last visit in 2007 kot ?? Hahah, giler out dated minah ni ...

Mengenangkan usaha beli kain jauh2, so b'azam la nak hantar kat tailor b'quality annn ?? Senget kain merah mak ngah kang, setahun xabes complen ... So lepas xjadik jumpe HD pagi tadi, trus la balik lepak2 kat Bangi (malu nak ngaku rindu kat omak) ... Dgn niat suci nak gi DzulldeClassique tempah baju 2pasang ...

Dpt paking cantek giler depan kedai yg compem bz tu, pastu dgn yakin nye kepit beg plastic Noor Arfa Batik kan ... Semangat giler coz finally can make it, & the shop still open ... Risau dah actually, takut dorang tutup be4 Magrib ... Tapi dorang bukak sampai pukul 10 mlm ... Hahah, lepas ni confirm I'll take advantage on that late closing ...

Actually stunned by the details on the pieces they've done ... Agak mengancam kalau tgk betul2, ade plak one of the worker tgh buat beading kat depan2 counter kan ... Memang cair la ... Tanye trus brape dorang charge for beading ... Rm190 utk beading saje yeaaa, upah jahit lain ... Reasonable rite ??

Lepas agreed to do kurung moden for both materials, ambik ukuran ... Akak tu tanye, 'ni deposit nak bayar brape' ?? 'Sratus' (sile buat2 excited) ... Siap b'lari2 anak sebab wallet t'tinggal dlm kete ... Excited lebey ...

Selepas pra-pembayaran selesai, trus ambik card & b'niat meninggalkan Kajang dgn kadar segera ... Pastu ade motor lak sebijik kat blakang my car, which later the rider create drama wif me ... So, dgn sabar nye ... Tunggu la uncle t'sebut selesai, pastu t'tengok la kad (normally they gave receipt) tempah baju tadi ... Total = RM300 ?? Sepasang rm150 ??

Hahah, t'kejut sampai t'lupe nak bukak air-cond tau ... Dah sampai Sungai Besi baru prasan button a/c tu xtekan ... Sampai2 damansara, bf ckp tu harge standard ??

Ade kah saye yg t'lampau out dated ?? Atau memang mahal ?? It's just a basic kurung moden, xde beading or sulam ... Last time I sent kat my amazing tailor kat Tangkak, paling mahal pun rm120, for 3pieces ... Lace, collar cheongsam ... Siap butang cheongsam b'deret ... Cutting xyah ckp la, perfect ... Xpayah fitting ke bagai, cume she'll tend to make it look innocent sket ... Sebab my original design normally revealing, hahah ...

Actually dah calculate siap2 hari tu, compare cost to sent it to nearby tailor ... Or hantar kat my dearest nyonya kat Tangkak tu jugak ... Kalau kat Tangkak tu, toll pegi balik about RM50 + minyak full tank = rm100 ... Then regardless what the design is, average it will cost me RM100 per pair ...

Sutera 2pasang, and kain from India another 3 ?? RM500, seriyesly ?? Hahah, tambah cost penghantaran & pengambilan ?? RM750 tau makcik !!! & most important reason why kene hantar kat tailor around my parent's house - mane ade duit nak bayar 1shot RM500 !!! Hahah, quarter my salary dah tu ...

So, tu la ... DzulldeClassique is the best choice, I bet it will turn out well ... This is not a bad review la, I'll post out the result later ... Sebab I read a few good review on their work earlier ... & some more, they can finish my 2pairs of baju kurung moden in 2weeks, cepat kan ?? Tapi I said ambik hujung bln la ... Heheh, tunggu gaji ...

There's another tailor kat Seksyen 9 yg I slalu pegi back then when I'm staying in Seksyen 8 ... Makcik tu jahit quite nice jugak, fitting sumer ok ... She did patching for me for the piece that supposely buat baju kurung, but I degil jugak nak buat kebaye ... Actually die sub jek, but I love how the final look turned out la ...

Then the 2nd time I sent lace which I bought kat Nilai, buat kurung moden ... Somehow bahagian leher die horrible giler, because you can see all the jahit tepi ... It cost me another 100bucks for beading to cover up, + the beading mcm striking sikit from the materials design ... Just agak serik la, to send materials that I have high expectation on there ... Heheh, kecoh ...

Maybe I can send a piece from daddie to her, since nak buat baju kurung moden wif simple kain jek ... At least the next visit, xde la die tanye kenape dah lame xdtg ... :D

Wedding Spirit

It's a month full of emotion for me, can't wait stepping into the next page of 2011 calender ... Can you imagine ?? Approaching the last month of the 1st quarter already ... Nothing has been wonderful so far, especially in my social life with friends & love ones ...

Yes, the money keep pumping in ... I had more than enough nowadays, which mean more responsibilities/commitment ... Just don't be hypocrite ... When you invested an amount of money, you're actually expecting some amount of courtesy & good return from thing you invested ... So, yes (again) ... Accepting the money is fun, but do remember you're opening yourself to a new pile of commitment ...

Well, let's not talk about my uncertain life ... Hell yeah, it's boring ... :D ... Let's welcome March !!! It's gonna be a month of wedding spirit for me ... Will be helping a friend for her wedding stuff shopping (yay!!!), & 3months left to brainstorm then present to another friend in Melaka on *secret* wedding theme ... Ohhh yah, & my cousin's engagement on 13th !!! Hah !!! (surprise face) Another wedding in Melaka on the 19th !!!

Hahah, excited lebey ... Mcm I plak nak kawen ...

I don't care !!! Hahah ... Yes, it's uncertain for me ... Somehow I'm excited to help !!! At the moment, I already listed the must have items for decoration, wedding dress details, hairstyle etc. ... Somehow I got stuck on the hand bouquet, & haven't give a thought on the menu ... I think I don't have to interfere in the menu issue, since it'll be completely provided by the caterer ??

Hahah, I yang stress !!! Seriyesly !!! It's like, I dunno if she got time to assemble all the things I have in mind for her because of the time constraint ... Her wedding will be held later by end of this year, & after my trip to Sabah in May ... I'll only have a few months to make her dream wedding a success !!!

Now, it's gonna be March tomorrow ... I'll be preparing to attend Wani's wedding in May, & in between I'll be busy with work & the *secret* wedding plan ...

After Wani's wedding, it's already June !!! Then I'll be busy for Hari Raya pulak !!! Heheh, bile nak kawen mcm ni ?? Mokcik, you're not the subject !!! Heheh, my point is ... June baru nak pegi tempah baju, August baru nak fitting ... Paling awal la kan ?? Kalau 3bln, September baru siap ?? No, no ... I yg freak out !!!

Anyway, dapat pegi shopping/tempah baju kawen dgn org nak kawen pun jadik la kan ?? Don't worry my dears, we'll give our best shot !!!

So, to ruin the surprise ... Heheh, sorry brides ... Saye excited !!! I'm the MAID OF HONOR !!! Hahah, drama ... For one of the weddings jek pun ... Hahah, lebey kan minah ni ??
